義仲の相関図を描く機会を頂いてから沢山の方から教えを受け、ゆかりの地への訪問をしました。史実と伝承、様々な解釈、私の心には等しく新鮮なイメージが刻まれ、それは彼方から届いた星の光のようでした。義仲の肖像を北極星のように作品の中心に据え、その周りを巡るように、義仲が生涯で関わった人や景色を想像し、一枚一枚の絵を星座のように配置しました。点と点が線を結び、その隙間に、その距離や対比に、観る人それぞれの終わらない物語が浮かび上がると良いなと思います。
Since I was given the opportunity to draw a correlation of Yoshinaka, I have learned from many people and visited places related to him. Historical facts and folklore, various interpretations, and equally fresh images were engraved in my mind, like starlight reaching me from afar. I placed Yoshinaka's portrait at the center of the work, like the North Star, and surrounded it with the people and scenery that he was involved with throughout his life, arranging each picture like a constellation. I hope that the dots will form a line, and that the gaps, distances, and contrasts between the dots will reveal a never-ending story for each viewer.

画家 1983年東京生まれ長崎市育ち。2007年多摩美術大学卒業。様々な場所に住みながらつくる、レジデンスや滞在制作を中心とした活動を行っていたが、近年は埼玉県を活動拠点に、制作に至った動機を言葉や経験を意識しながら解体し、色や形の原理に置き換えたうえで再構築する試みを続けている。2017年「VOCA展2017 現代美術の展望-新しい平面の作家たち-」にて VOCA賞受賞。
Painter Born in Tokyo in 1983 and raised in Nagasaki City. Graduated from Tama Art University in 2007. She has extensive experiences in residency programs, and in recent years, she is mainly based in Saitama Prefecture, attempting to deconstruct the motivations that led to the creation of her works with an awareness of language and experience, and to reconstruct them after replacing them with the principles of color and form. In 2017, she received the VOCA Award at the“VOCA Exhibition - The Vision of Contemporary Art 2017.
